The Terror XVIII with EPA certified Kubota D902 is a well-built 4,000 lb mini excavator with solid digging performance and a reliable engine. I wanted to add a hydraulic thumb and the auxiliary hydraulic circuit specifications in the documentation were unclear about fitting sizes and flow rates. Had to contact support for the correct specs — they responded helpfully. The machine has performed excellently through five months of use. Good EPA Kubota mini excavator with documentation that needs improvement for attachment integration.

Five months of regular job site use and the Terror XVIII EPA Kubota D902 has been mechanically reliable. The Kubota D902 engine is dependable and fuel-efficient. EPA certification accepted on every regulated site. The 4,000 lb digging performance is solid in varied soil conditions. My performance note is the slew rotation speed being slightly deliberate compared to competing machines in this class. Not a major productivity concern for most excavation work but worth knowing for jobs requiring rapid frequent repositioning.
